We are a small family-run Labrador breeders based on the edge of the Peak District in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. We are proud members of the KC Assured Breeders Scheme and are firmly committed to healthy & happy dog breeding that will improve the overall breed strain. Our breeding bitches have fantastic temperaments and pedigrees making a Derwent Spire puppy the ideal family pet or working companion.
We are registered with Chesterfield Borough Council (LC 202301- 1357, 5*) and comply with all necessary regulations.
Melanie (Mel) Barnes has been around dogs all her life and has been breeding Labradors for over 10 years; she has a wealth of knowledge recognised in her experienced breeder accolade. As a member of the Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme Mel ensures that she stays at the front of very best practice in dog breeding.
